Terms of Use
Last updated: May 26, 2026
SwellSmith (“we,” “us”) operates the Panic Button app at panic.swellsmith.com and the website at swellsmith.com. By using either, you agree to these terms.
What Panic Button is Panic Button is a free parenting support tool. It delivers quick, actionable intervention cards based on the situation you’re in. No account, no login, no personal data required.
What Panic Button is not Panic Button is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. Our cards are informed by published child development research, but they are not a substitute for professional guidance. If your child is in danger or you’re experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
Your use You may use Panic Button for personal, non-commercial purposes. Don’t scrape, copy, or redistribute our content. Don’t use the tool in any way that could harm children.
Our content We add, update, and remove cards regularly to improve quality. The card you see today may not be the card you see tomorrow. We do our best to ensure accuracy, but we make no guarantees that any specific intervention will work for your child in your situation.
Privacy We collect anonymous usage data (which situations are tapped, which cards are served, whether you found it helpful). We do not collect names, emails, or any personally identifiable information through the app. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Limitation of liability SwellSmith is provided “as is.” We are not liable for any outcomes resulting from using or not using our cards. Parenting is hard and every child is different — use your judgment.
Changes We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
